Assignment 2
For this assignment I choose to take pictures of different types of Textures. I used photoshop to edit the photographs in the picture above to make the different types of texture look realistic. I made sure that if the picture was underexposed or overexposed that I made it look like it wasn't. I recommend to make sure that the camera is set on Auto and for each picture you do the custom white balance.

Understanding Histograms
1.
What is a histogram?
A histogram is a tool that many cameras offer to help the user get a quick summary of the tonal range that is present in any given image. It graphs the tones in the image from black to white(left to right)
2.
What happens to the visual when a histogram is
skewed to the left? Right?
When skewed to the left the picture is underexposed. When it is skewed to the right the picture is overexposed.
3.
In most cases, what does a “good” histogram look
like?
a. Describe your answer in words
b. Provide a visual
There is no such thing as a "good" histogram; the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is always room for personal taste and different ways to express yourself.

4.
Why is a histogram a good tool for
photographers?
Because you can express yourself as a photographer. It also lets you know when the picture is overexposed or underexposed.
